ACETYL-L-CARNITINE 500 mg - 60 plant-based capsules

Acetyl-L-carnitine (ALC) plays a key role in brain functions, particularly among the elderly. It reduces lipid peroxidation, improving the stability of the cell membranes as a result. Additionally, ALC is a precursor of acetylcholine and heightens mitochondrial energy production.

ALC is prescribed for cognitive disorders, depression, memory and behavioural disorders among the elderly, and additionally for alcoholics. It also stimulates the healing of wounds (in diabetics) and has a beneficial effect on M. Alzheimer’s patients. It also heightens the cognitive functions of people suffering from chronic fatigue. ALC also produces positive effects on persons with Down’s syndrome. It has the same properties as L-carnitine, except that it can pass more easily through cell membranes (incl. the blood-brain barrier) and more quickly through the mitochondrial membranes, thus accelerating the delivery of energy.

This product is lactose-free, gluten-free and contains no preservatives, colouring agents or artificial flavouring.
